- Peel-and-stick: The simplest option we stock. The backing peels away to reveal an adhesive ready to go on the wall. Position and press. You can reposition until you get it perfect. It comes off the wall cleanly with zero residue left behind. Great for renters.
- Pre-pasted: Run the strip through water to awaken the adhesive already built into the backing. Then, position and press. This substrate holds up really well in humid rooms, and it still strips away effortlessly when it’s time for change.
- Traditional: Pair with a traditional wallpaper paste (almost any adhesive will work) for the most permanent install possible. Our recommendation if you know the look is staying long-term.

Can I install Painted Paper myself?
Absolutely. Especially the peel-and-stick and pre-pasted substrates. They’re very easy. Traditional wallpaper might mean hiring an expert, or at the very least having an extra set of hands to help you with positioning. We have detailed installation instructions for all three substrates we sell.
What are the care instructions?
Just wipe the walls down as needed with a barely damp cloth. You don’t want to get the walls wet. Don’t use any cleaning chemicals on our neutral wallpaper, either.
