Cook in Style With Stunning Kitchen Wallpaper That Makes a Statement
There’s no better way to bring a little more excitement to every meal you make than wallpapering your kitchen. It’s way more impactful than repainting, and far less work than creating a tile backsplash. You can make a statement on the very limited wall space you do have, since cabinets and appliances take up most of it.
Painted Paper is proud to present the premier selection of kitchen wallpaper online, ranging from rich florals and moody botanicals to clean geometrics and subtle textures. We have more than 6,000 styles to choose from across our catalog, so you’ll have no trouble finding something that fits your taste and space. Every print is available in one of three options:
- Peel and stick: Like the name says. Peel off the backing and stick the wallpaper right where you want it to go. It’s easy to reposition and remove as needed.
- Pre-pasted: Just add water to activate the adhesive, and apply it to your wall with ease.
- Traditional: Requires a separate adhesive but is a better choice for permanence and durability in a space that takes punishment.
All three are PVC free, wipeable with mild soap and water, and carry a Class A fire rating. You can also find any style you like in a sample size to get a better sense of how it looks in your kitchen. Every roll is made to order right here in the US.
Take a look around and see what catches your eye.

Frequently asked questions
Do people still wallpaper kitchens?
Yes! This is actually one of our best-selling categories here at Painted Paper. There’s honestly no better way to add character to a space without renovation. All it takes is one accent wall to change the look and feel of the entire kitchen.
Is it a good idea to put wallpaper in the kitchen?
As long as you choose premium kitchen wallpaper like ours here at Painted Paper. You should go with the pre-pasted or traditional substrates because they’re better equipped to handle heat and moisture than our peel-and-stick wallpaper.
What kind of wallpaper is best for a kitchen?
We love the way larger scales work in open-concept kitchens. But we’ve also seen some truly stunning galley or alcove layouts with our tighter repeating patterns, too. There’s a world of possibilities in store for you here at Painted Paper!
What colors make a kitchen look expensive?
Deep greens, navy, charcoal, and warm whites. You want to go with something that creates a little contrast against cabinetry without it looking like it’s clashing or competing for attention. Our advice is always to order samples first before committing to the full order.
How do you put wallpaper in your kitchen?
Measure the wall area and don’t forget to account for windows, cabinets, and outlets. Then it’s just a matter of finding the right style and installing it. We have handy installation guides covering the actual application process, and our customer service team can help you out as well.
Will heat and steam damage kitchen wallpaper?
All our substrates are wet-strength rated and wipeable, so you have very little to worry about. Normal cooking steam won’t cause any damage. Just be careful about placing wallpaper directly next to a range where constant high heat can come in contact with it. Even so, our kitchen wallpaper is Class A fire-rated.
Should I wallpaper the whole kitchen or create an accent wall?
It can be hard to wallpaper the entire kitchen given how limited the open wall space is. A single accent wall behind a dining nook or open shelving could be all it takes to completely transform the look and feel of your kitchen with wallpaper.
